Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PROC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PROC data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher PROC Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PROC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
OV, BRCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where PROC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
