Across TCGA patient cohorts, PROC protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 9,328 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PROC-associated genes across cancer lineages are SERPINE1, FOSB, and LYVE1. Each is linked with PROC in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PROC-to-partner and partner-to-PROC results are reported.
