Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRKAR2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRKAR2A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PRKAR2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRKAR2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, PRAD, and STAD are the cancer types where PRKAR2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
