Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRELP mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRELP data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher PRELP mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRELP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, PDAC, and LSCC are the cancer types where PRELP mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
