Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRDM16 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PRDM16 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher PRDM16 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRDM16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and PDAC show a favorable association.
GBM, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PRDM16 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
