Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP2R1A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PPP2R1A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where PPP2R1A RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PPP2R1A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, KICH, and COAD are the cancer types where PPP2R1A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
