Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPP1R16B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PPP1R16B data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PPP1R16B mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPP1R16B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, CCRCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where PPP1R16B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
