Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPM1B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PPM1B data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PPM1B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPM1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, KICH, and LUSC are the cancer types where PPM1B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
