Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPID Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PPID data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PPID Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPID expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where PPID Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
