Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POU1F1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POU1F1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher POU1F1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POU1F1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and LGG are the cancer types where POU1F1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
