Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POTEF-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POTEF-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher POTEF-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POTEF-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and ESCA show a favorable association.

KICH, BRCA, and COAD are the cancer types where POTEF-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
