Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PON1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PON1 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher PON1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PON1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC and PAAD show a favorable association.
KIRC, LIHC, and PAAD are the cancer types where PON1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
