Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR3D RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of POLR3D’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where POLR3D RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types POLR3D is over-expressed in tumor.

KIRP, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where POLR3D tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
