Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2J RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLR2J data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher POLR2J RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2J expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CHOL and THYM show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and KICH are the cancer types where POLR2J RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
