Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2E Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POLR2E data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher POLR2E Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and LGG are the cancer types where POLR2E Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
