Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2C RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLR2C data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher POLR2C RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LUAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, KIRC, and LGG are the cancer types where POLR2C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
