Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2C mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POLR2C data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher POLR2C mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where POLR2C mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
