Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR1D RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLR1D data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher POLR1D RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR1D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UVM show a favorable association.

HNSC, KIRC, and CESC are the cancer types where POLR1D RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
