Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLQ RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLQ data layer compared with 9 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher POLQ RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLQ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and THYM show a favorable association.
ACC, MESO, and KIRP are the cancer types where POLQ RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
