Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLE4 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLE4 data layer compared with 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher POLE4 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLE4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as THCA and LUSC show a favorable association.
KICH, ACC, and HNSC are the cancer types where POLE4 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
