Across TCGA patient cohorts, POLE protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 11,848 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible POLE-associated genes across cancer lineages are TOP2A, CDKN3, and OIP5. Each is linked with POLE in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both POLE-to-partner and partner-to-POLE results are reported.
