Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PMM2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PMM2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher PMM2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PMM2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCEC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PMM2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
