Across TCGA patient cohorts, PMEPA1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 6,507 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PMEPA1-associated genes across cancer lineages are TWIST1, ABHD12, and E2F1. Each is linked with PMEPA1 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PMEPA1-to-partner and partner-to-PMEPA1 results are reported.
