Across TCGA cell cohorts, PMEL mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12 significant associations in total. BLOOD_Leukemia shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PMEL-associated genes across cancer lineages are KLF14, BHLHE23, and OR10D3. Each is linked with PMEL in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PMEL-to-partner and partner-to-PMEL results are reported.
