Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLTP Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLTP data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher PLTP Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLTP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, LUAD, and STAD are the cancer types where PLTP Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
