Across TCGA patient cohorts, PLAU protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 17,930 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PLAU-associated genes across cancer lineages are PLAUR, FN1, and LGALS1. Each is linked with PLAU in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PLAU-to-partner and partner-to-PLAU results are reported.
