Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLA2G4C mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLA2G4C data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PLA2G4C mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLA2G4C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
UCEC, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PLA2G4C mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
