Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLA2G4A RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PLA2G4A data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher PLA2G4A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLA2G4A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and KIRC show a favorable association.

UVM, UCEC, and LAML are the cancer types where PLA2G4A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
