Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLA2G4A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLA2G4A data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PLA2G4A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLA2G4A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and SCLC are the cancer types where PLA2G4A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
