Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLA2G4A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLA2G4A data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher PLA2G4A mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLA2G4A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and UCEC show a favorable association.

PDAC, CCRCC, and GBM are the cancer types where PLA2G4A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
