Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLA2G2D Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLA2G2D data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PLA2G2D Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLA2G2D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, KIRP, and SKCM are the cancer types where PLA2G2D Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
