Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLA2G2C RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PLA2G2C data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PLA2G2C RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLA2G2C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and ESCA show a favorable association.

SKCM, ESCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where PLA2G2C RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
