Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PKP4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PKP4 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher PKP4 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PKP4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and UCEC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, UCEC, and LSCC are the cancer types where PKP4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
