Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PITX3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PITX3 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher PITX3 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PITX3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and SKCM show a favorable association.
ACC, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where PITX3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
