Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIP5K1A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIP5K1A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher PIP5K1A mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIP5K1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.

PDAC, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PIP5K1A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
