Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIK3C2G RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PIK3C2G’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where PIK3C2G RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PIK3C2G is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and COAD are the cancer types where PIK3C2G tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
