Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIH1D1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIH1D1 data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PIH1D1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIH1D1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, PRAD, and COAD are the cancer types where PIH1D1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
