Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIGL RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PIGL data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher PIGL RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIGL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and SKCM show a favorable association.

UVM, KIRC, and BRCA are the cancer types where PIGL RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
