Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIGB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIGB data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PIGB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIGB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC and UCEC are the cancer types where PIGB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
