Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PICALM Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PICALM data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher PICALM Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PICALM expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, LIHC, and HNSC are the cancer types where PICALM Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
