Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PI4KB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PI4KB data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PI4KB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PI4KB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and ESCA are the cancer types where PI4KB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
