Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PHF5A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PHF5A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher PHF5A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PHF5A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
COAD, SKCM, and LUAD are the cancer types where PHF5A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
