Across TCGA patient cohorts, PGR protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,281 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PGR-associated genes across cancer lineages are SLC25A16, PPP1R42, and CABCOCO1. Each is linked with PGR in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PGR-to-partner and partner-to-PGR results are reported.
