Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PEX5L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PEX5L data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher PEX5L mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PEX5L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where PEX5L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
