Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PEX5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PEX5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PEX5 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PEX5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, THCA, and SARC are the cancer types where PEX5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
