Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PDGFB RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PDGFB data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher PDGFB RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PDGFB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.

KIRC, MESO, and UVM are the cancer types where PDGFB RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
