Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCYT1A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PCYT1A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher PCYT1A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCYT1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where PCYT1A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
