Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCSK9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PCSK9 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher PCSK9 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCSK9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD, LIHC, and PRAD are the cancer types where PCSK9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
