Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PCCA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PCCA data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher PCCA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PCCA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.
UVM, SKCM, and BLCA are the cancer types where PCCA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
