Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PAXIP1-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PAXIP1-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where PAXIP1-DT RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PAXIP1-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, BLCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where PAXIP1-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
